Synopsis :
Hijack is an action thriller with an emotional twist. The protagonist of the film is Vikram Madan (Shiney Ahuja) who is an ex pilot in a commercial airlines and now works as a maintenance engineer in a ground job at the Chandigarh airport. The film marks the hero’s journey of his life bringing him face to face with his demons from the past, where the hero is faced with a hijack situation with his daughter being stuck in the middle of it. Having lost his wife earlier in a similar situation, it is up to Vikram now to get over his past and save the day. The terrorists of the aircraft demand that their mastermind Rasheed (KK Raina) be released in exchange of the innocent lives of the passengers. It is now in the hands of Vikram and Saira (Esha Deol) an airhostess on the hijacked flight to join forces and somehow save the lives of the innocent passengers.

Not going into that debate (we think that was a part of marketing campaign), the story revolves around Rajeev played by Sudeep, who is a successful construction engineer and happily married with 2 children. Lakhan Singh aka Lucky (Sonu Sood) is the 'king' of the Australian underworld accompanied by his associates (played by Javed Jaffrey, Neha Dhupia, Manoj Pahwa, Yashpal Sharma, Kamal Chopra and Sudhanshu Pande.) Far away, in a small village in Punjab, where Lucky was born, there exists someone more notorious than him - Happy Singh (Akshay Kumar). Out of desperation, they decide to send him on a long trip (that will keep him out of the village for a while!) to bring Lucky back to Punjab, as his despicable deeds were maligning their image in Australia.

The high point of his journey is his chance meeting with Sonia (Katrina Kaif) with whom he falls in love, but upon reaching his destination, things take a precarious turn as he runs into a series of comic misadventures, leaving him penniless. He is fortunate to find warmth and affection in an elderly lady (Kirron Kher) who helps him meet Lucky.

In a strange turn of events, an attempt on Lucky's life is foiled by a well-intentioned Happy who fights off the attackers by risking his own life. Following the hilarious altercation, Lucky lands up in hospital paralyzed, and Happy, unexpectedly, finds the tables turned on him when he is expected to assume the role of the new 'kinng'!

Abbas, known for his witty scripts has dished out a simple ,sweet but digestible love story. There are no airy flairs in the movie but the characterization made all the difference. Genelia has acted well and deserves the an equal accolade as Imraan. There are no scenes in the movie when you say to your self " God! How much of this do i have to take ? ". The Music is beautiful and matches with every emotion in the story. This is 'Definitely' a thumbs up for every movie goer and deserves a second watch

REVIEW:
SARKAR RAJ exudes a lot of power from the word 'Go'. But let's not categorize SARKAR RAJ as yet another "political film". Emotions and relationships run concurrently in those 2+ hours. What works in favor of SARKAR RAJ is its tight writing. It's not difficult to decipher the power play, but more importantly, there's meat in the script. It leaves you awe-struck as the plot thickens. The film throws a number of surprises, but the best is reserved for the penultimate 20/25 minutes. The culmination to the story is simply fantastic! RGV shines like never before.

He takes to SARKAR RAJ with a vengeance. He has to prove that the sequel is better, he has to prove the detractors wrong too. While RGV has handled the subject with great expertise, you cannot ignore a few scenes that leave a lasting impact… Besides its strong content, SARKAR RAJ has been filmed exceptionally well too. In fact, SARKAR RAJ has the trademark RGV stamp in every sequence. The review would be incomplete without giving the due credit to writer Prashant Pandey's incredible and almost flawless script. Amar Mohile's background score is topnotch. The by-now-famous 'Govinda' chant in the background only enhances the impact. Amit Roy's cinematography is exceptional. The DoP succeeds in giving the film the raw-n-rustic look, which works very well. Action (Allan Amin), in minimal doses, is perfect.
